Sydney ANZAC Day March
Every 25th of April, The Scots College Old Boys Pipes and Drums joins thousands of Australians to honour the fallen. With 100+ pipers and drummers, we're one of the largest pipe band contingents in the Sydney March.
Our ANZAC Day Tradition
The Sydney ANZAC Day March is the most significant event on our calendar. Each year, our band comes together to pay respects to the servicemen and women who have served and sacrificed for Australia.
For many of our members, ANZAC Day is deeply personal. Some march in memory of family members who served. Others march to honour the school's long connection to the Australian Defence Force. All march with pride and solemnity.
A Century of Service
The Scots College has a proud tradition of military service dating back to World War I. Over a thousand Old Scots served in the two World Wars, and many more have served in conflicts since.
The Pipes and Drums plays a vital role in honouring this legacy. The stirring sound of pipes echoing down George Street connects us to generations of Australians who have answered the call to serve.
Gallipoli Centenary 2015
The centenary of the Gallipoli landing in 2015 was a landmark year for our band. We fielded our largest-ever contingent with over 100 pipers and drummers, making it one of the most memorable ANZAC Day marches in our history.
Alumni from around the world returned to Sydney to march together, united in remembrance and pride.
